ROLE UX Researcher · UI/UX Designer PROJECT TYPE 5-day Design Sprint SOFTWARE Figma Hotspot was created during a five-day design sprint to address a common frustration travelers face when booking hotel rooms: a lack of transparency in the booking process. Hidden costs, unclear room details, and incomplete information often lead to unpleasant surprises upon arrival. The goal was to design a mobile app that helps travelers book accommodations with greater clarity and confidence. I conducted competitive analysis and user interviews to understand how travelers evaluate hotel listings. Research revealed several key pain points, including hidden fees revealed only at check-in, insufficient photos of important room features, unavailable amenities, and difficulty interpreting room size measurements. These insights informed the project’s problem statement, persona development, and end-to-end user flow. I translated these findings into wireframes and prototypes before establishing a visual system focused on clarity and trust. The room details page prioritizes user ratings and final pricing, while room capacity is communicated through intuitive icons instead of abstract measurements. The checkout flow also clearly presents booking details and a full price breakdown before payment.
